Weekend again

Morning all,

What a wild and windy couple of day we have had earlier in the week but it looks as though it might be getting better but do not hold you breath. It has however  been really nice to be able to go out  and not get wet. 

I have been trying to get to grips with mixed media and working on canvas and I have finished two. I really am pleased with them, They are only 3 inches square but like most things we have to start somewhere.

Work desk Wednesday

Morning all.

I know they are pretty bad in America and hope all my friends as well as everyone else is safe and warm over there, and we are having some really strange weather here as well. 

I have been saying for a number of years I would get an AirRam vacuum and at last I have bought it. I hope it helps as it sure is a lot lighter than my old one.

As it's WOYWDW this is a picture of how mine is today. Not a lot going on but . . . give me time and I bet you will not be able to see any of the table,

Although  it looks  coloured  behind the candles it is silver with the light catching it

Monday.

Morning all. 

Thought yesterday I would have a day of  crafting as I had some challenges I wanted to enter for Monday. I have the challenges ready and started and what was going to be one card turned out to be two so have a card ready for Wednesday's blog post. 

I also have a love for orchids I tried for years to grow them and have given up lots of times, A really good friend gave me a lovely orchid at my husband Ron's funeral last year and its been in flower ever since. I now have 6 orchids in all and they are lovely. This one is the latest to flower. I have never seen this one before, my sister gave it to me and May does not know the name of it, so if anyone knows from these pictures I would love to know, The leaf is dark green with a very dark strip.

 These flowers are the size of my thumb nail.

Friday again

Morning all,

Well I have a had few good days of going out this week. Wednesday, I met up with a pal and we went to Wickes where I bought a glue gun. I have been thinking for awhile about getting one but with Kathy's [her blog is here] help I finally got one. Just have to plug in now and use it. 

Yesterday I went out with all the ladies from knit and natter. There were 14 there. We went to the Alveston  hotel and it was a lovely tea. There were two of us who needed gluten free food and we had a plate with our food on and it was really nice,

Morning all.

Well we really have some strange strange weather, one day rain the next freezing, Well it really is freezing today, I have just looked out and its white everywhere, Hoping the buses are still running as I plan to meet a my pal Kathy outside Hobbycraft. 

Went out last night to the first W.I. [Woman's Institute] meeting. It was a good evening and there was a talk on the Butterfly space, A charity that was set up to help the people of Malawi. It was really interesting. It makes you appreciate what you have and just how lucky you are. I met some lovely people there and will be going again to the next meeting.

Morning all.

I really do wonder why this time is going so fast. At this rate it will soon be Easter, I went out Wednesday and treated myself to a new bed, I have to wait  till February for delivery but at least they take the old bed away which is a bonus.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday and went to" Knit and Natter " There are about 13 other ladies there and have to say there is more natter than knit. We are all meeting up next week and going for a cream tea, Should be good as they do gluten free teas as well.

Morning All

Had a good day yesterday and wanted to try to make a card that was different from the cards I am used to making so went with a mixed media card. I hope its OK for the challenges I have chosen to enter this card into.

Sometime ago I showed you the new unit and this is the unit nearly filled up. I have a few more to fill up,

I was really hoping that sometime we might get some nice weather but as of yesterday it's still raining. I really hope that we do not get too much more as there are still lots of people suffering, The sun is out now, I just bet it does not last but it's really nice to see it even if it only for a short time.

Well at least we had some sun yesterday. It gets really cold though when the sun goes down, It looks like it might be another nice day today but am not holding my breath.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Good morning 

                               HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL WHO DROP BY 

Well I had a great Christmas I hope you all had a lovely time, I have been away staying with friends in Eastleigh, near Southampton. I managed to get to see family and friends. The river where we used to have picnics nearby was flooded and its been years since it has been like that. My friends, who live near the river, thought it might get up to the road but it didn't so that was good, On the night before I was due to come back my daughter and her daughter took me to see Aladdin at the Mayflower in Southampton Duncan James [from Blue]  & Joe Pasquale were in the pantomime, and I can tell you I have never laughed so much in a long time and sure needed it.

I want to get back to all the challenges I have missed doing them over Christmas so today will be the first on the year,
