weekend again

Morning All

                   Yesterday  my mate Kathyk (aka the Purple Princess) came round and we spent a very good morning crafting. Nothing like crafting with a good friend. We both wanted to try something new and Kathy brought some masking fluid. We both had made some backgrounds the day before so they would be dry.

I dabbed the masking fluid onto the background and then let them dry. When they were dry and with a darker distress  ink went all over the card and again gave it time to dry. 

When they were dry the blending solution just peeled off  [you have to make sure they are dry or the card just rips] to reveal the background underneath, Not sure I will be doing it again . 

While Kathy and I were together we decided to try the Joseph coat technique here and I have to say I enjoyed this more












I think this owl looks quite scary.







Once Kathy had gone to meet a pal I made this card.

Materials used....

• 5 x 5 deckle edged card blank and enelope
• small piece of background made using alcohol ink.. 
• small piece of white card. 
• strips of ribbon
• tea pot and sentiment stamp

Morning all

Had a great day Monday went out with a friend. It with the weather was horrid and thought we were going to get very wet, We went to Berkeley and had a great time. We are going again sometime and this time I will take my camera,

Talking to KathyK this morning and we got talking about challenges. There are three that we were looking at and Kathy set me a challenge to make a card for all three challenges, I set to and made a card but was not  was not very pleased with it so I  made another.

Weekend blog

Morning all.

                    Life has just caught up with me and I have not been able to blog a much as I wanted to. I have had a couple of friends round for the past couple of days and last night went to help another friend who was have a problem with her computer which was funny when you think I don't know a lot about computers myself. It turned out she only wanted to ask about logging into craft forums, I helped her with that and then we had a chat and a good laugh  for the rest on the evening.

I am enjoying posting now and really enjoying entering the challenges, Just have to sort out how to remember which challenges I have entered, work in progress as they say. I find that having a theme for a card and not just making a card stretches me a little bit and somewhat out on me comfort zone.

Morning on what I hope will be another lovely day.

It really was  a lovely day yesterday. Sun all day and clear skies, I sat and crafting all afternoonwith the sun streaming through the windows it was great, My table is right next to the window and sometimes it just get to hot. yesterday how ever it was just right,
