Good morning all.

 Well we have rain here today and I am so glad I have manages to get all the washing dry yesterday.

 Still have some stash to find home for. i wish I could manage to come out of a craft store without getting           anything BUT as all crafters know there is always something we NEED. Trying really hard to catch up on getting the Christmas cards finished, I am so behind and need to get more done.

First of all I would like to share with you last nights sunset. It really was lovely.

weekend away

Morning all.

I had a lovely weekend with part of my family in Portsmouth. My niece Sami is married to  Sam [yes it is confusing, you call Sam and you never know which one will answer lol ] They have been married for just over three years and are expecting their first child any time now. Last weekend Sami had a baby shower and  lots of their friends attended . It really was a lovely day. They had lots of presents for the baby [ they know its a boy.] I thought I would share some on the pictures of that lovely time with you.

                    Was hoping to catch up on my Christmas cards as I seem not to have enough as yet. I really need to get to grips with them. This year is going to fast I really hope that I can get them all made.

                 Still clearing out with my friend but we are getting there. Why do we all keep these things we no longer want or need but somehow cannot find it in ourselves to throw it out.  I have made a very simple card today.

                   Not much happening on the crafting front I am sad to say. I have been helping a friend clear out some things that she cannot manage on her own. I have completed a couple of cards though, and have one to share with you today.....

weekend again

Morning All

                   Yesterday  my mate Kathyk (aka the Purple Princess) came round and we spent a very good morning crafting. Nothing like crafting with a good friend. We both wanted to try something new and Kathy brought some masking fluid. We both had made some backgrounds the day before so they would be dry.

I dabbed the masking fluid onto the background and then let them dry. When they were dry and with a darker distress  ink went all over the card and again gave it time to dry. 

When they were dry the blending solution just peeled off  [you have to make sure they are dry or the card just rips] to reveal the background underneath, Not sure I will be doing it again . 

While Kathy and I were together we decided to try the Joseph coat technique here and I have to say I enjoyed this more












I think this owl looks quite scary.







Once Kathy had gone to meet a pal I made this card.

• 5 x 5 deckle edged card blank and enelope
• small piece of background made using alcohol ink.. 
• small piece of white card. 
• strips of ribbon
• tea pot and sentiment stamp

Had a great day Monday went out with a friend. It with the weather was horrid and thought we were going to get very wet, We went to Berkeley and had a great time. We are going again sometime and this time I will take my camera,

                    Life has just caught up with me and I have not been able to blog a much as I wanted to. I have had a couple of friends round for the past couple of days and last night went to help another friend who was have a problem with her computer which was funny when you think I don't know a lot about computers myself. It turned out she only wanted to ask about logging into craft forums, I helped her with that and then we had a chat and a good laugh  for the rest on the evening.
