I dread to think how many dies I have that haven't been used yet Lilian lol. We have had two days of snow here and I am glad I have nowhere else to be than home. Great card! Stay safe, happy WOYWW and Happy New Year. Sarah #9
ReplyDeleteAh Lilian, the die sorting is a very good idea, I could certainly take a leaf from your book! Are you going to continue the Christmas card making through the year? I’m glad to nectar there’s no snow with you, we’re having some very deep frosts but the snow disappeared quite quickly. Your seagull shots are great, until you get close to one you don’t realise how huge they are, big wingspan! My daughter lives on the south coast and won’t hear anything good about a seagull!
ReplyDeleteWow, what fabulous photos you took. mI love how clean and white seagulls look.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a better year ahead than the one we have just had. Keep blogging and stay safe, happy and well.
Hugs, Neet 13 xx
I have lots of all sorts bought but not used.... stencils and stamp sets more than dies.... love the photos of the gulls. Happy WOYWW and stay safe in 2021. Helen #5
ReplyDeleteWell, lets hope your lovely card is the only snowy thing we see this year! I keep forgetting its almost upon us! I don't have that many dies so, if you're selling them let me know! Happy New Year! Happy WOYWW!? Happy crafting!and stay safe ((Lyn)) #19
ReplyDeleteHi Lilian, I have sent an email but I haven't heard from you yet so I hope you are well.

Hi Lillian, it is a mystery to me how I am desperate for something only to put it away and not use it. Great photographs of the seagulls and your card is really pretty. Happy WOYWW Angela #14
ReplyDeleteThat’s a very pretty card with its pastel colours! I smiled reading your comments here, I think we’ve all been guilty of buying new stash and not using it, well done for having a sort out!

Lillian, I love that sweet card! The glitter gets it for me every time! :) I know all about buying what you "think" you want and then NOT using! We art people seem to have the same sickness! I really need to take a tip from you and de-stash! LOL Thinking about those birds swarming for the bread makes me think about the Alfred Hitchcock move The Birds! It always scared me! LOL Happy New Year to you! Blessings, Felicia #31
ReplyDeleteHello Lilian, lovely winter card - I have to say I am no hurry to see the snow! I know what you mean, especially dies, sometimes I get them home and have no idea what to do with them!! Good luck with your sorting, Happy WOYWW, Stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx #18
ReplyDeleteHi Lilian, I love the scene on your Christmas card. I don't have any stamps like that yet, but I have looked at them - everyone always makes such pretty scenes with them. Good luck with sorting through your dies. I was exactly the same - buy things I liked, but then never used them. Now if I buy something, I try and use it straight away (thereby justifying the purchase). If I haven't used it in a few months, I will get rid/sell it on ebay. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #30
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty card with the glittered winter scene. Nicely done! The photos are amazing! I sorted my stamps and dies a couple of months ago but with the holiday creating crunch, I need to go through and do it again. The Hubster is planning to build some storage units for me and I am hoping that will help me avoid ending up with doubles. I am not buying any stamps or dies in 2021 so that alone will be a major contribution to destashing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vist! Happy WOYWW and Happy New Year!

Adorable card, purple and snow certainly a good combo.
ReplyDeleteDies look amazing and curious as to how you are "getting rid" for your duplicates??? I'm a die person, it's my favourite technique.
Happy New Year BJ#10
What a gorgeous card - we had 3 inches of snow yesterday in Sheffield! Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. Praying for a happy and blessed New Year for you and yours. With love & God Bless. Caro x (#16)
ReplyDeleteHi Lillian, I should do some sorting out of my dies too - not that I have too many, they just need to be better organised. Another task for 2021 - surely it's going to be a better year for us all. Beautiful card - love the glitter. Happy New Year, Elizabeth x #32
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful card, Lilian. I love the border of the picture. And what gorgeous bird photos too.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and happy WOYWW,

Terrific winter card ~ Good for you to start the new year getting organized and purging. Great bird shots too ~ Blessings and happy new year wishes!
ReplyDeleteHNY Lilian, love your winter card. We had snow briefly on this week but it disappeared as quickly as it came. It’s very cold though isn’t it. We had our daily walk tonight but had to tread carefully as the pavements were beginning to ice over. Take care with hugs from Sue #22 xx
ReplyDeleteLoving the card and I can certainly relate to your comment about crafting stuff we buy and then don't use, you're not the only one that does that. Have lovely woyww, Angela x17x
ReplyDeleteOne thing I don't miss living here in Spain is snow. Although in winter when driving to the city I can see snow on the mountain tops and that's where it stays. Love you colours in the card. Dies I have hardly any as I have difficulty buying craft items here. Happy New Year to you. Ani
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment, Lilian, and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to my blog.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Shoshi #25
The other thing about crafty purchases is buying many of the same or similar because "I like that!"
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
Stay safe and keep well!
Update on here in Victoria – after more than two months with no Covid cases we now have a handful again…
